Just to introduce myself. I’m Amelia Hodgetts. I’ve been a professional counsellor for some years now and have spent thousands of hours with hundreds of clients. Which means that I have covered a lot of issues and helped a lot of people – and helping people is what I really enjoy in life.

I regularly get feedback from clients as to how things have changed for the better for them in their lives (which, to be honest, is really a credit to them rather than me).

All of us encounter times in our lives that appear to be difficult to cope with.
Loss, bereavement, problems within relationships, divorce, low self esteem and stress, these can all begin to take away the joy from life and perhaps make us forget the things that we are deep down and what we want to do with our time. They also can contribute to a general feeling of anxiety or depression or both.

And many, many people sometimes need some help in finding their way through these times. There’s nothing wrong with that at all. It’s just a practical solution to a problem.

I offer personal counselling to people with a range of difficulties in their lives and help them through these times, helping them to focus on strategies that will begin to bring the right change so that life can be enjoyed again.
